Registry office ceremonies run quickly usually 30 to 35 minutes. Two hours gives you everything from arrival through to couple portraits nearby. Here is how the time typically breaks down.
0:00–0:15Arrival at the Registry Office
We arrive before you to photograph the venue exterior and guests arriving. The anticipation before the ceremony door opens is often one of the most genuine moments of the whole day.
0:15–0:45The Ceremony
Full coverage entrance, vows, ring exchange, signing the register, first kiss. We work quietly from different positions in the room without flash unless the space genuinely needs it. No disrupting the moment.
0:45–1:00Exit, Confetti & First Moments
The walk out of the ceremony room confetti, bubbles, laughter, hugs from witnesses. Candid shots of the first minutes as a married couple. This is where some of the most natural photos happen.
1:00–1:25Any Group Shots
If you have witnesses or a small group, we work through any group photos quickly outside the venue. For a true two-person elopement, we skip straight to portraits.
1:25–2:00Couple Portraits Nearby
We walk to the best nearby spot a cobbled street, a garden, a riverside path — for relaxed couple portraits. No posing, no direction beyond where to walk. Just the two of you, as you are, photographed honestly.

We do spend a short time on group family photos and a few portraits of the couple these are worth having and most people want them. But beyond that, we let the day unfold and focus on capturing what actually happened, not a version of it.
The photos we deliver are edited to look clean and natural no heavy filters or dramatic colour grading that dates quickly. Just honest, well-exposed images you will still like in 20 years.
